Flower Frenzy...sort of...

Remember when I posted these --->>>? And remember I said I was taking an on-line class called A Crafty Adventure? The one where I made the cupcake? Well, in typical fashion, I've downloaded all the adorable projects, but haven't made any more. Until this evening. The last (frowny face) were all kinds of flowers. So I made some of the paper ones. Here they are. Pretty cute, eh? The brownish one is sprayed with Walnut Gold Glimmer mist & the one in the top middle is sprayed with Solar Gold Radiant Rain. (Click on the picture to enlarge it and you can see the effect.) I also ordered some fabric "charms" from this Etsy shop to make some fabric ones.

Today Gary and I went to a giant garage sale, held by Angels for Animals. (a place where fortunately they treat the animals much better than their volunteers...but that's another story. ) It has been ages since I've been to something like this, and I'd forgotten how much fun it could be! It's a good thing he was with me or I would have gone hog wild! Of course, my SIL is coming up tomorrow and we're going, so all bets are off.

Here's what I got today --->>> Seems I was into birds! The little colored ones are salt & pepper shakers. That's a Cardinal and a Chickadee, pretty good likenesses! The white ones are metal (there are 2). I may paint them, but then, I sort of like the white shabby look of them now too. What do you think? I figure the drawer thingy will come in handy some how. And the books are pretty cool. I love the cover on this one. Wish it had pictures inside. This one has fun colored pictures.
An old math book.

And Riley Songs of Summer. That's James Whitcomb Riley. All the poems are accompanied by wonderful pictures like these. I always buy these books with the notion of taking them apart. And then my enduring respect for books kicks in and I let them sit around intact for a while.

So maybe tomorrow I'll have more goodies to show you. I had my eye on some table cloths that were somewhat stained, but the material and trim were still usable!
