Some projects that have made me happy...
I signed up for Adventures in Crafting, which is a great little project class done by Jana Wilson. I wanted to break out of the 12x12 rut and I think this is just the ticket! I made the little cupcake hanging a couple nights ago. Isn't that just cute?! I didn't really have a "purpose" for it, so it's hanging on my scrap area wall (which is blah-dull-boring-ugly paneling...someday I'm gonna paint it!).
Then, after cruising many-a blog, deciding to buy a clip-it-up, deciding I didn't have room for one, deciding I did have room for one, and then not being able to make room for one, I took up an idea I had seen several times. I can't find any references right off, but if I do, I'll be sure to credit them. Here is my "hang-it-up"!
I am so flippin' happy with this! It's made from a towel rack (and a pretty one at that - 8 bucks on clearance at Target), notebook rings, and badge clips! And I think the next time I "clean" , I'll have an empty drawer to fill up again with goodies.
The other thing I finally did was start my ribbon organization. Now, there's no way I'll ever get all my ribbon into one form of organization. This one is for my "lengths"...you know, the ones that come in kits or the ends of the roll? I will eventually have one for each color group. They're just stick-on hooks (some of which are on there forever, as I had to brown glue them on there) and then these ribbon rings.
So that's what I've been up to. I'm surrounded by projects that I want to do. We're having a little crop over at Bad Girls this week-end, so maybe I'll get some of them done. However, it may actually be nice weather, so I should probably spend some time outside, even if it's just breathing! ("Blowing the stink off" as my lovably crude mother would have said.)
Have a happy Friday!
