{Snapshots of Saturday}

`1…1 tomato…wah-ha-ha…

23 tomatoes on that stinkin’ little plant! If you don’t know the story, Gary bought me a bush tomato planted in a pot with a cage to grow on the porch. Now I can grow just about any flower, but don’t know a thing about vegetable gardening. So I’ve been feeding it a little and watering it a lot. And there are 23 tomatoes on it! I’m almost afraid to hope that they will turn red and juicy soon!

`age gets us all…

This is the last big shade tree on the property (well, there are some along the road, but all they shade are the power lines!). And, as you can see, it’s got to go! This is the one the wood peckers love. It’s the one where the squirrels escape from the cats. It’s where the song birds sit to watch me as I fill their feeders. And it shades my garden. But if we don’t cut it down, it’s going to go over in one of our big windy storms. No telling where it would fall, but we just can’t take the chance. So it has to go…

`Belinda’s Dream…

That’s the name of the rose. I can’t believe that my roses bloom considering how I neglect and abuse them. But apparently they love me anyway.

Have a happy rest of your Saturday!

Great photos!

Hope your tomatoes turn red soon! I so love fresh garden tomatoes in the summer. I chop up bell peppers and purple onions and top with a tad of italian dressing for a yummy summer dinner. Note to self: hit up neighbors for tomato overflow since I didn't plant any this year.

Have an awesome weekend Linda!
