Snapshots of Saturday
This is what Saturday finally looked like in the livingroom. I couldn’t stand the mess anymore so I dove into a wild cleaning frenzy. You’re looking at about 2/3 of the results. See that bookcase over there in the corner? Before the frenzy, there were 2 piles of books beside it. The 2nd shelf had 2 layers of books and whatever could fit lying on top of them. The end result: a box of books to donate; 2 huge bags of books belonging to my daughter in the basement; the books off the floor; and one layer of books on the shelf! The top shelf is still 2 layers, but my back couldn’t take another one! Oh, and those scrapbooks on the floor? Now they’re sitting with bookends on that striped chest there in the other picture.
So the living room is clean and with a little effort, it’s staying that way! God I hate housework! In another life I had to have lived a privileged life with maids!
And Karen decided it looked so nice, her Siamese Fighting Fish, Tikki (Tikki tikki tembo-no sa rembo-chari bari ruchi-pip peri pembo – do you know that story?) could move in. So I know have a very aggressive fight fish on a table in the corner. He’s really a hoot! He keeps posturing and puffing, like there was something to fight with! Typical male! I’ll have to get some pictures!
Anyway…that’s a snapshot of Saturday. And by the way, we didn’t cook! After that, I sprang for Chinese!
