My 7 Gypsies ATC spinner, a check-up, and other minutia...

I was thinking about what I'm going to do the week Gary's in Florida, and remembered I've signed up for a 2nd round of ATC's at Cord. THEN I remembered when I asked Jen if I could post my finished ones on my blog, another lady asked for my blog "address" so she could look at them. And of course, I've yet to post them! I'm sure by now she's decided I'm a total flake and has quit looking for them. But, just in case, here they are. It's just a few of the 15 cards we did that night. There are several more classes, each with 15 cards. My theme is going to be all family pictures. I've started with older ones. When I run out of those, I'll do more current ones.

I'm very pleased with this so far. It looks quite cute sitting on my cube stack in my scrap nook.

Yesterday I had my 6 month doctor's appointment. That's where they check everything that really counts. They do the blood work for all my organs, check the cholesterol, make sure I'm not heading back to cancer. And I am healthy as a horse! (Good to know; Gary won't have to shoot me any time soon.) My cholesterol is 157. Of course that's with the help of a mini-dose of Lipitor. Whatever it takes. No risk of heart issues, blood counts good, sugar is good. So all those things that start to go in the later half of life are fine. Now if I could just magically get rid of the arthritis I'd be great!

For V-day, Gary got me a gift card to Cord Camera. Yay! Scrap shopping! I got him a ticket to Florida. Well, he already has the ticket, but I told him, so that he would have no excuse to back out of the trip, that I would pay for it for V-day. So I gave him the cash. Then we went to dinner at Combine Bros. Yummy!

It was a good day, all and all. It was a day to reflect on relationships and such. I've come to realize that after all these years, we still really do love each other. We spend pretty much all our time together and we don't drive each other nuts. So that's a good sign. A lot of renewal happens when you begin to grow old together. It's a good thing!

Today I have allergy head, even after a Claritin. Sneezing, sneezing, sneezing.

Here's a little project I put in the mail to a friend. I hope she likes it. It's an ATC album.

love your ATC holder, turned out great--I have one still sitting in a box and haven't decided what to do, but I am liking the family idea--I just organized a bunch of old pictures, now I think I know what to do with them.

Hi Linda! I am so glad your doc's appointment yielded good news!! And envious of you and your hubby's relationship. Lucky you!!! Yes, I will see you in a few weeks. I have been in such a scrappy slump (happens every winter). Before this past Friday evening, I hadn't scrapped since we were all together in December. I love your new Gypsies spinner and the ATC's. You are so talented. Have a great day and I'll see you soon!!

I love your ATC spinner. It looks so lovely.....great job! And congrats on a healthy check up. If only I could get my Chol number down to 157, I would be so happy.
