Sunday, Sunday...

A cool fall day. Just got in from pulling up annuals and planting spring bulbs. Out with the old, in with the new. I still have a few daylilies (like I need more, but, hey, they were free!) and a bunch of bearded iris to plant. Those can wait till tomorrow. I think I wore Gary out (he digs the holes) and I know I wore my arm out grabbing and pulling all those plants and weeds!

I'm amazed that my roses are still blooming. Belinda's Dream has tripled in size in the last 2 months and is loaded with beautiful pink buds. One of the apricot roses that I was sure was dead is actually sprouting some leaves! I think it's telling me not to pull it yet, it still has some life left!

And the morning glories! Geesh! I mistakenly fed them along with all my other flowers. Too late, I was told that all they would do was produce leaves and vines. Well they certainly did! Finally 2 weeks ago I got tired of them and pulled most of them out. They had never bloomed and just turned into a monster, strangling whatever it could get its tendrils on! I went out today and they are blooming in the dump cart! What is up with that!?
